A.A.R. M-1003 Quality Control Program
The quality controls programs ISO 9000-2000 and the Association
of American Railroads (A.A.R.) M-1003 are 90% identical. The
differences lie primarily in their focus. ISO is focused on
the process, A.A.R. M-1003 is focused on the product. Both
programs feature strict guidelines for controlling and planning
the process to produce a higher quality product.
